Instructor: Dr. Devendra Borikar, P.Eng.
Dr. Borikar brings more than 38 years of expertise in advanced water treatments and pilot testing, with more than 20 years as a Professional Engineer. Formerly the Science & Technology Lead at the Walkerton Clean Water Centre (2005-2024), he has trained hundreds of operators across Ontario. His teaching style blends technical depth with practical, real-world application. Dr. Borikar not only developed this training but will also deliver it each time.

This training course discusses enhanced coagulation, flocculation, and multi-media filtration, which can remove a significant portion of microplastics. It also discusses integrated advanced barriers—membrane filtration (UF/NF) and activated carbon polishing, which provide high-efficiency removal of smaller microplastics and associated contaminants.
